Math Olympiad 2024
Empowering Minds through Numbers
We are proud to announce the second Math Olympiad, a premier event designed to foster the Olympiad movement in Armenia and create exceptional job opportunities for talented individuals. This competition provides a prestigious platform for outstanding math and STEM enthusiasts to showcase their problem-solving skills and creativity.

The 1st place winner will receive a grand prize of 1,000,000 AMD, showcasing their exceptional mathematical prowess. The 2nd place finisher will be awarded 500,000 AMD, and the 3rd place participant will take home 300,000 AMD. These awards recognize and celebrate the outstanding achievements of our brightest minds.

  • Karen Keryan
    Head of the master program "Applied Statistics and Data Science" at YSU. He has been the team leader and the coach of the Armenian universities teams participating in the International Mathematics Competition since 2013.
     In 2018 Karen was awarded the degree of doctor of physical and mathematical sciences. He jointly with Gegham Gevorkyan won RA Presidential award in the area of natural sciences. Karen was the chairman of Supreme Certifying Committee of RA.
  • Vazgen Mikayelyan
    ML Architect at Krisp, leading the Meeting Notes ML team. With a PhD in Mathematical Analysis, he also lectures at Yerevan State University. Vazgen brings over seven years of experience in machine learning and is a gold medalist of the International Mathematical Competition for university students
  • Tigran Hakobyan
    Research mathematician in the field of Algebraic Number Theory, specializing in questions lying at the intersection of theories of Galois Modules, Formal Groups and Local Fields. Since receiving his Ph. D. in Mathematics, he has taught several courses, including the Algebraic Number Theory course at Yerevan State University as well as Linear Algebra and Multivariable Calculus (currently) courses at the American University of Armenia. Tigran has also been working in IT as a Computer Graphics Researcher/Programmer. His research focused on developing mesh deformation algorithms that could be utilized to address specific medical challenges
  • Albert Gevorgyan
    2-time IMO and 1-time IOI medalist. As a university student, Albert won 4 IMC first prizes and 4 Putnam competition honorable mentions. He has finished his PhD at Imperial College London under the supervision of professors Alexander A. Ivanov and Martin W. Liebeck
  • Karen Sharafyan
